Buddy Rogers was from Olathe, KS. He attended Olathe High School (probably a few years ahead of Martin W. "Hank" Frye) and the University of Kansas. His movie career spanned three decades, 1926 - 1957. He was married to Mary Pickford for 42 years. He starred in the movie "Wings" filmed in 1927; the first movie to win a best picture Academy award.
