W. H. Brady
W. H. Brady was born in Kentucky in 1828, and was left an orphan at the age of seven years; in ’51 emigrated to Mo.; in ’58 to Kansas. Elected township Assessor in ’68-’69; and county Commissioner in ’70-’71. He married Miss Jane Cummings of Kentucky in ’48, and by her had five children; she died in ’57; in ’69 he married Miss Jane Aulderson, of Mo., and by her he had five children. He was present at the instance of the first sermon, the first marriage and the first funeral of his township.
